 Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech at IIT Kharagpur

The qualifying criteria for the IIT Kharagpur BTech programme are shown below; candidates who meet these requirements will be considered for the selection process.

• Candidates must have received the minimum needed marks in their 10+2 exams.
• Candidates must first pass the JEE Main exam, then the JEE Advanced exam.

IIT Kharagpur B.Tech Selection Criteria

• Considering the 12th exam results, JEE Main and JEE Advanced/ AAT score, a merit list shall be made category-wise, listing All India Rank (AIR) of candidates. 
• Candidates have to register for counseling online at the official JoSAA website. Choice filling and locking are mandatory and it is to be done by the candidate only. In decreasing the order of preference, branch choices are to be filled.
• Based on the cut-off set by IIT Kharagpur, seats will be allocated in each round of counseling.
